RUTLAND, Vt. -
Eighty-nine elderly men and women are living away from their Rutland nursing home after a boiler explosion.
The Rutland Herald reports the fire broke out Tuesday at the Rutland Health Care and Rehabilitation Center and all of the residents had to be relocated. Some were taken as far away as Claremont, N.H., others just down the street to the Rutland Regional Medical Center, where they turned a conference room into a shelter for displaced residents and their beds.
They hope to have all of the residents back home by Friday.
