Downtown St. Albans could get new hotel

ST. ALBANS, Vt. -

Downtown St. Albans may be getting a new hotel, as well as a state office building and parking garage.

A local real estate firm and Linchris Hotel Corporation are working with the city on the project. The plans call for an 88-room hotel.

The state office building would be located on Federal Street on the site of the former Brickyard Tavern. The city purchased that property back in 2008.
