NH House to hear medical marijuana input

CONCORD, N.H. -

A New Hampshire House committee will hear from the public Thursday on legislation to legalize medical marijuana.

Up to five alternative treatment centers would be able to dispense marijuana to people with debilitating or terminal health conditions. Patients could also grow small amounts for personal use or designate a caregiver to grow it for them.

Governor Maggie Hassan said she supports medical marijuana, as long as it has tight regulations for diseases and dispensaries. She has not said if she supports patients or caregivers growing their own.
