Man steals knives at state police barracks

ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt. -

Vermont state police say a man went into a restricted area at the St. Johnsbury barracks, took two knives and began cutting up maps, magazines and desk tops.

Police say 26-year-old Anthony Cofrancesco of St. Johnsbury was at the barracks early Sunday morning waiting for a friend to be processed.

Confrancesco faces multiple charges including burglary, theft, unlawful mischief and unlawful trespass.
