Take your place in a new festival honoring the stories that have shaped Colorado's past by submitting your organization's activity or event today!

DENVER, Feb. 27, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- From May 18 to 19, History Colorado will showcase stories from around the state for a weekend of events and activities at the History Colorado Center in Denver to celebrate Archaeology and Historic Preservation Month. Organizations and individuals from throughout Colorado are encouraged to submit an activity, tour, scavenger hunt, or other creative event to be a part of the celebration.

Activities could include scavenger hunts, historic neighborhood tours, archaeology digboxes, cheese-making demos, beer-crafting demos, canning, cooking demos, or adobe brick making – but applicants are encouraged to be as creative as possible.

Tell your community's story at the two-day event!  Complete the fillable PDF Activities Proposal Form to submit an activity for May 18 and/or 19.  Include as much detail as possible and return your proposal by March 18 to claire.lanier@state.co.us.  Download the form from our website at http://bit.ly/AHPM13ActivitiesProposalForm  (Don't forget to download the form to your computer and re-save it with your event name before submitting!)
