THE WILDWOODS, N.J., Feb. 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Billboards and Television spots for the Wildwoods this spring in the New York Metro area markets will let vacationers know the Wildwoods are open for business – and planning once again an event-filled summer.

The Wildwoods "Think Summer & Join Us!" Campaign is designed to bring vacationers to New Jersey and keep the Wildwoods top of mind as potential visitors make their summer plans. Messaging on billboards and in television commercials lets vacationers know that the Wildwoods' expansive award-winning FREE beaches and exciting two-mile boardwalk – virtually unscathed by Superstorm Sandy – are  "open for business", and this summer promises to be as action-packed and fun-filled as ever.

"We are pleased to report that the Wildwoods were virtually unaffected by Superstorm Sandy – and we're very grateful for that," said John Siciliano, executive director of the Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement & Development Authority. "Our hearts go out to the areas that were affected, but we have to get the message out that a good portion of the Jersey Shore will be open and we hope vacationers will support New Jersey's tourism economy. It is with gratitude that we are promoting our plans for another fantastic summer, and our attractions, businesses, free beaches and boardwalk will be fully operational to allow our wonderful visitors to enjoy a great vacation," he added.

The television commercial starts airing March 1 in the New York Metro Area and can viewed via this link: http://youtu.be/Wk3_WVjchUA.

Vacationers don't have to wait until the summer to enjoy the Wildwoods. With many exciting spring events commencing in early March and continuing right up until Memorial Day, the vacationing season starts earlier every year in the Wildwoods.
