HANOVER, N.H. -
Hanover's police chief has suffered a stroke.
Chief Nicholas Giaccone had the stroke Friday. He underwent treatment at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and is now undergoing rehab in Boston.
In his absence, Captain Francis Moran is serving as acting chief.
Hanover police urge everyone to learn the warning signs and symptoms of stroke, because the sooner a victim is treated, the better the prognosis.
