Study: Pet cats killing billions of birds, mice

Cats are popular as pets, but they can also cause problems.

A new study found that cats kill about 2.4 billion birds and 12.3 billion mammals each year in the U.S. The study was conducted by the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
