HARTFORD, Vt. -

One of the suspects in a sex slavery case in Cavendish has committed suicide.

Frank Meyer is a fire captain in West Haven, Conn. Sources tell WCAX News that Meyer killed himself Tuesday in Newfane. His family once owned property in the area.

Meyer and Brett Bartolotta were arrested last week and charged with forcing a 12-year-old Vermont boy to become their sex slave and that the abuse went on for more than a decade.
