Burr & Burton boys win third straight alpine title

LUDLOW, VT - Burr & Burton used it's depth to claim a third straight boys high school alpine state championship Wednesday at Okemo.

The Bulldogs placed three skiers in the top seven in the giant slalom and four in the top fourteen in the slalom. Their highest finish in each event was third. Ben Alexopolus reaching the podium in the GS, Tanner McGrath in the slalom.

Mt. Mansfield's Tristian Palola won the slalom by over a second. Michael Hladky of Essex was the runner up.

Rutland's Andy Kenosh took the giant slalom title after his teammate Tyler Guth was disqualified after winning the race because he was reportedly heard swearing, which if a violation of a Vermont Principles Association rule. Lyndon's Matt Valentine came in second.
