In an effort to cut school budget costs, families in Stratton will no longer be paid a stipend to drive their kids to school.
The Brattleboro Reformer reports instead of town-run buses, families received $300 each school year to get their kids to school and from school.
But voters decided to drop the stipend, saving the town $7,000 a year.
