Man accused of throwing woman, child to the ground

LYNDON, Vt. -

Police say a Lyndon man assaulted a woman, throwing her and her 10-month-old daughter to the ground when police tried to stop him.

Police say at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, they responded to 47 Church Street for a domestic assault. They say the woman had severe facial injuries, and Kevin Wheeler, 24, shoved her and her child to stop police from catching him.

Police caught Wheeler after a foot chase. He's facing multiple charges, including child endangerment.
