LAKE PLACID, N.Y. -
Wreckage from a plane crash in the
Adirondacks will be removed Saturday.
The small plane crashed two weeks ago
on the side of Big Burn Mountain near Lake Placid. The pilot and his two
passengers survived and were rescued early the next morning.
Saturday, a helicopter will be used to
remove the wreckage. Because pieces of the plane could fall on the recreation
trails, two will be closed. The Jack Rabbit Trail between the Whiteface Inn
Road and the McKenzie Pond Road will be closed. So will the Haystack Mountain
Trail on Route 86.
