BURLINGTON, Vt. -
It looks like last week's Mardi Gras parade in Burlington will miss its fundraising goal.
Last Saturday was the 18th annual event. It benefits HOPE Works, a nonprofit that helps victims of sexual violence.
HOPE Works hoped to raise $25,000 from float registration and the sale of beads, but now the organization says it looks like they raised about $20,000. HOPE Works hopes to have a final tally by next week.
