NEW YORK -
An extended interview with Phish frontman Trey Anastasio airs this weekend on WCAX. Anthony Mason talks to Trey on CBS Sunday Morning and asks him what it's like to be in a band that has no peers.
Trey Anastasio: We always felt like lepers.
Anthony Mason: You did?
Anastasio: Absolutely. We felt... We just... We used to get just lambasted by the press-- regularly.
Mason: How did you react to that?
Anastasio: It was half and half. I'm not gonna lie and say that it's a pleasant experience.
Phish started out as a college band in Vermont and the band still records music in Vermont and most of them still live here.
You can watch Trey's interview on CBS Sunday Morning. The show runs from 9-10:30 a.m.
