RAY BROOK, N.Y. -
Wreckage from a plane crash in the Adirondacks has been removed.
The small plane crashed two weeks ago on the side of Big Burn Mountain near Lake Placid. The pilot and his two passengers survived. Because of the remote location, a helicopter had to lift the wreckage and take it to the Department of Environmental Conservation in Ray Brook. From there the FAA hauled it away. Because of fears pieces of the plane could fall, a few recreation trails near the crash site were closed. No problems were reported.
