DUXBURY, Vt. -
A Vermont teacher was honored with a third place finish in the annual LifeChanger of the Year awards.
Maureen Charron-Shea is a special ed teacher at Harwood Union High School. She was nominated by her peers for empowering her students through the production of two documentaries like this one. Her students have also created books and music.
At the awards ceremony in Florida, she was named the second runner-up and received $5,000.
