WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, Vt. -
A Quechee man was in court Wednesday, accused of molesting two young girls.
Police say Shane Harlow sexually assaulted the girls on more than one occasion. Police say Harlow knew the girls and they were sisters. The alleged incidents against one the girls happened five years ago in Thetford. Investigators say the other victim was assaulted by Harlow just last week at her home in White River Junction.
"We covered both of those in this county today. There will be a discussion between the Orange County state's attorney and the new Windsor County state attorney, Michael Kainen, about whether to try to consolidate the two separate sets of charges into one court," Windsor County State's Attorney Robert Sand said.
Harlow is the same person charged in connection with a death on Interstate 91 last year. Police say he ran over a Dartmouth College student and did not stop to offer assistance.
