BRATTLEBORO, Vt. -
More troubles for the Brattleboro Retreat. Inspectors found deficiencies at the mental health facility and if they are not fixed, the federal government will pull all Medicare and Medicaid funding.
The Retreat says it is expecting an unannounced inspection within the next few weeks. It is rolling out a plan to correct problems.
The facility has been handling dozens of state mental health patients since Tropical Storm Irene wiped out the state hospital in Waterbury. This is the second time in the last year that federal officials have threatened to pull funding from the Retreat.
