Harwood Union High School was placed in lockdown Friday afternoon after reports that a student had a gun at school.
Vermont State Police say Harwood's principal contacted them at about 1:30 p.m. Friday. The Duxbury school was placed in immediate lock down. No shots were fired and no injuries were reported.
A sweep of the grounds and the building did not turn up any weapons. The lockdown was then lifted and students were dismissed for the day.
Police are still investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call the Middlesex barracks -- 229-9191.
