HYDE PARK, Vt. -
A Jeffersonville man has admitted to animal cruelty charges.
The trial is over for Jeffersonville horse owner Richard Fletcher. He pleaded guilty to one count of animal cruelty before the jury ever got the case. Authorities said Fletcher mistreated six horses -- depriving them of food, water and medical care.
Fletcher gave up possession of his horses and is expected to get six years probation when he is sentenced next month.
