Sudden snow squalls made for dangerous driving Friday night.
From Burlington to Montpelier - and places in between - mother nature struck hard Friday night causing accidents across the region.
Along Route 89 northbound just past the Winooski River Bridge snow and slick roads led to trouble.
A Greyhound Bus traveling from Boston to Montreal collided with a car.
"I was actually napping and all of the sudden I just heard this loud crash," said Laura Spetalnick, a passenger on the bus.
Passengers say there were no major injures to anyone onboard but it brought drivers to a crawl during the late evening commute as crews worked to clear the scene.
"We were a little nervous when we saw the weather, we were thinking oh I wonder how this bus is going to make up there but I guess we are not," said Spetalnick.
The interstate was not the only place showing major signs of trouble. Cars were off the road along Roosevelt Highway in Colchester.
The roughly two mile stretch from exit 16 to Severance Road was at a standstill for close to an hour.
State police say there was an injury on board the car that collided with the bus.
The extent of that injury is unknown.
