
Three Vermont girls baskrtball championships were up for grabs tonight at the Barre Auditorium.
In Division II, top-seeded Mount Abe finished off an impressive 23-1 season with a 44-28 win over third-seeded BFA-Fairfax. Isabel Brennan led the Eagles with 16 points and nine rebounds.
The Division III final featured a thrilling contest between Williamstown and Winooski. Brianna Robare led all scores with 19 points as the Spartans top the Blue Devils 52-48, for their first state title.
Division IIII played host to defending champion Proctor and upset-minded Arlington. However, today the Phantoms proved too tough. Carissa Elrick pours in 18 points as Proctor snags back-to-back state titles, with the 55-38 win over the Eagles.
