SAINT-JEROME, Quebec -
Two inmates in Quebec are back in jail this morning after a daring jailbreak by helicopter.
The men escaped from a prison located northwest of Montreal Sunday by climbing up a rope that was dropped from a hovering helicopter.
When police tracked down the helicopter all they found was the pilot, who had to be taken to the hospital and treated for shock. Police are calling him "an important witness."
One of the escapees was arrested about 30 miles north of the prison later in the day with two other people said to be helping him. The other eventually surrendered early Monday morning, after barricading himself in a building.
