COLCHESTER, Vt. --- Both the St. Michael's men's and women's basketball head coaches resigned Monday.
Citing her recent marriage and her decision to relocate to Arizona, Jen Neibling has stepped down after ten seasons as the head coach of the Purple Knights women's team. A standout player at UVM and Randolph High School, Neibling earned 121 wins with the Knights and qualified for the Northeast-10 playoffs seven times. The plan to fill the vacated position will be decided early next week.
Men's head coach Michael Harding has also stepped down, his decision being made due to the medical condition of his infant son, who was born prematurely more than a year ago. Harding spent three seasons at St. Michael's, with the Knights advancing to the Northeast-10 Tournament in his first year. Assistant Josh Meyer has been promoted to head coach. This will be his first head coaching job.
