State shuts down Twin City Taxi

MONTPELIER, Vt. -

The state has shut down a Montpelier taxi service.

Twin City Taxi was operating without workers' compensation insurance which is required by state law. The state issued a stop work order last Wednesday. The state says it was not a surprise to the company.

WCAX News made several attempts to contact Twin City Taxi, but our calls had not yet been returned when this story was published.
