WINOOSKI, Vt. -

An Olympian was getting basketball lessons from a hoops showman today...Courtnay Pilypaitis, former UVM standout, starter on the 2012 Canadian Olympic basketball team and now assistant coach for the Unversity of Vermont women's program went through a practice session with Handles Franklin of the Harlem Globetrotters this afternoon at the Winooski YMCA.

The Trotters will be making their annual stop in Burlington on Thursday, March 28th and Pilypaitis has agreed to suit up for their opponents, the Global Select.

Known for her shooting stroke, Courtnay received a crash course in the kind of ball handling skills the Trotters have made famous, and she's looking forward to taking to the Patrick Gym court once again next week.

"I'm honored to get the opportunity to play with the Harlem Globetrotters, it should be a lot of fun," Pilypaitis said.
