Members of a Wardsboro church shot down a proposed wireless project for the town.
VTel originally planned to build an antenna on the inside of the Wardsboro Methodist Church steeple, but now the project is canceled. At a meeting last week some people complained about the plans being inside the historic steeple.
The Brattleboro Reformer reports VTel is looking into other options in the town and will not seek penalties with the church for backing out of its contract.
