A Vermont teacher has been disciplined for allowing a student to shoot a deer during school hours.
Steven Wunsch is a building trades instructor at Northwest Technical Center in St. Albans. The Vermont Education Agency sanctioned him with an 11-day licensing suspension that coincided with the school's winter break in February.
He also served a six-week unpaid suspension from the school for the incident in 2011, when he allowed a 17-year-old student to go home, get his gun, and shoot a deer white visiting a job site.
