Hamlin Makes A Run at NCAA Tournament

Update: Robert Hamlin beat Ben Bennett in the semifinals, 3-2 and will meet Penn State's Ed Ruth in the 184 pound championship.  That bout can be seen Saturday night at 8 p.m. on ESPN.

It's Not just the NCAA basketball tournament that is underway.  The NCAA wrestling tourney started yesterday and what a performance so far by former mount mansfield star Robert Hamlin.  Hamlin, wrestling for Lehigh in the 184 pound weight class has advanced to tonight's semifinal round.  Hamlin's first match on Thursday a 7-3 win over Kent State's Casey Newburg. He then beat Dan Rinaldi of Rutgers, 5-3. This morning a tough quarterfinal match against the University of Northern Iowa's Ryan Loder, but Hamlin hangs on for a 2-1 win.  Tonight he faces 33-0 Ben Bennett from Carnegie Mellon.
