NH lawmakers consider stricter car seat rules

CONCORD, N.H. -

More kids in New Hampshire might soon need to be strapped into a car seat.

The Senate Transportation Committee is considering a bill passed by the House that raises the age and height requirements.  Kids would need to be in a car seat until they are either 56-inches tall or 6 years old.  That's one inch and one year greater than current law. New Hampshire law requires everyone under 18 to wear a seatbelt.
