Fire destroyed a lakefront home in Alburgh Wednesday morning.
The fire on Alburgh Springs Road was discovered by a passerby just after 6 a.m. Fire officials say one person was home at the time and got out safely. The house and attached garage were fully involved when fire crews arrived and they had no chance to save the home.
No one was hurt. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Damages are estimated at over $230,000.
The Red Cross is providing assistance to the victims of the fire.
