WILLISTON, Vt. -

A Vermont teen is getting a national honor for his work to promote CPR training.

The American Heart Association has now named Tommy Watson their Youth Advocate of the Year.

Watson pushed for a law requiring Vermont kids to have CPR training before high school graduation after he saw an elderly man die at a soccer game.

He also gave CPR training to lawmakers, including Governor Shumlin.
