In baseball, a good buzzing is part of the game. On Saturday, the Southern Vermont Baseball Team took it a snip further. The Mountaineers had their heads shaved to raise money for the St. Baldrick's Foundation benefiting childhood cancer research.
"You have to take a step back and think about the kids that never get that opportunity to get on a baseball field," Mountaineers Head Coach David Gage says. "We are doing it to for those people."
The team's goal was to raise $3,000 dollars. They ended up collecting more than $4,600 for the St. Baldrick's Foundation. Players say this effort has brought SVC closer than ever.
