Books Over Breakfast: Bookmobile Birthday

Posted: Updated:
SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt. -

Our friends from the Franklin-Grand Isle Bookmobile appeared on the Channel 3 News to tell us about their upcoming event this Saturday.

Director Debora Whitney Grennon joins us to talk about the role of the bookmobile and their upcoming celebration.

The Franklin Grand Isle Bookmobile is turning 10. Saturday will be their 10th Birthday at their sixth Annual Big Rig Day. The celebration will take place on Saturday, April 13, 10 a.m.-12 p.m., at the Swanton Village Municipal Building (21 First Street, Swanton). It is a free, family-friendly event.

Come explore the Bookmobile's big rig friends: you can even climb inside the big rigs. They will have cake, activities for the kids, and raffles for the adults. There will be lots of opportunities to listen to stories on the Bookmobile. And if you'd like to give them a birthday present, they'd love books or donations.

For more information, contact the Bookmobile at 802-868-5077.
