Legislators are looking to tweak Vermont's school funding system.
Members of the House Ways and Means Committee are weighing options to change how revenue is raised and to identify ways to contain costs.
Legislators must act this year if they want changes to take effect by fiscal year 2015.
The head of the committee says at this point, almost everything is on the table.
"We're doing this sort of the way we did the tax bill, created this big menu of options and different things and we're whittling that down. The committee hasn't made any decision yet, but will hopefully come to some fairly soon," said Rep. Janet Ancel, D-Calais.
This week the committee is reviewing income sensitivity, student-teacher ratios and the possibility of a statewide teachers' contract among other topics.
