POWNAL, Vt. (AP) - Vermont State Police are seeking more information on a brawl in Pownal that may have involved more than 15 people and in which a pregnant woman was allegedly hit in the head.
Trooper Justin Walker said police were called to a report of a fight Friday night at the Alta Gardens Mobile Home Park. When they got there, Brian Carangio said about 15 people came to his home in multiple vehicles to confront him about problems his dog had been causing.
Walker said he was told a pregnant woman, Kayla Denue, was struck in the head several times after a fight broke out; her condition was not immediately available. A man who tried to defend her also was hit in the head and thrown into a fence.
