Henson in court on lewd and lascivious conduct charges

LYNDONVILLE, Vt. -

A Channel 3 News employee pleaded not guilty to lewd and lascivious conduct charges Monday.

Police say that Matt Henson groped a woman at a Lyndonville bar in March and fought with bar staff. He is charged with lewd and lascivious conduct and disorderly conduct. A woman told police she approached Henson at the Packing House. She said over the course of the evening he tried to touch her twice under her clothes before pinning her to a wall outside the bar. She told police she got away and went to a bouncer. Police said Henson's blood alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit.

Henson is not allowed to have any contact with the woman and will be in court in July for a status conference. He remains on unpaid leave from WCAX-TV pending a resolution in the case.
