Doing it for their Former Coach

Posted: Updated:

The 9th ranked Saint Michael's men's lacrosse team is back in action tomorrow hosting #3 Merrimack.  It's the regular season home finale for the Purple Knights who can clinch their first ever conference title with a win.  With its 10-6 win over American International College Saturday, St. Mike's set the program record for consecutive wins (9). It's also nine conference wins for the Purple Knights, which is also a program record. The team is playing with more passion and emotion. It has a lot to do with the passing of former coach Paul Schimoler. The 45 year old died of cancer in February. Schimoler, who was also an assistant lacrosse coach at Dartmouth, led the Knights for 8 season from 2004 to 2011.
