DERBY LINE, Vt. -

Layoffs at Tivoly in Derby Line.

Tivoly Incorporated CEO Mark Tivoly confirmed there were layoffs, but would not say how many.

The machine tool manufacturer employs about 165 people.

The news comes as the Newport area is banking on a big infusion of development dollars thanks to developer Bill Stenger and the EB-5 program.
