The Vermont City Marathon in Burlington is inviting runners who couldn't finish the Boston Marathon.
The Vermont City Marathon is held every year on Memorial Day weekend.
Wednesday, race officials announced it will take 150 runners who could not finish the Boston Marathon because of the bombings. And those runners will not have to pay a registration fee. Executive Director Peter Delaney says they are doing it to help runners realize the results of their training and continue the healing process.
About 8,000 runners participate in the Vermont City Marathon. It's the second largest marathon in New England, right after the Boston Marathon.
