The governor is not done fundraising for Irene recovery.
Tuesday afternoon, the CEO of New England Subaru offered his third $25,000 check to the Vermont Disaster Relief Fund.
With a few months remaining before the second anniversary of the tragic storm, $7.7 million of the $10 million target has been raised.
Relief fund manager Chris Graff says the anniversary won't mark the end of work.
"We know as we hit the two-year mark this year we won't be done with the recovery from Irene. We hope to close as many cases as possible by the second anniversary, but we won't close them all," Graff said.
Graff says they've helped about 290 families, but still have 240 applicants still in need.
The administration also touted the sale of 37,000 Vermont Strong license plates and the governor waiving his inaugural ball as key factors in the fundraising push.
