COLCHESTER, VT. - The fourth-seeded Saint Michael's College men's lacrosse team earned a 7-2 Northeast-10 Conference Championship first round victory over fifth-seeded Southern New Hampshire University on Tuesday at Duffy Field. The win marks the Purple Knights' program-record-tying 11th this season.
The hosts, who are ranked 11th in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) national poll, improve to 11-4, while the Penmen finish their season 6-10. Saint Michael's advances to its third consecutive NE-10 Championship semifinal, as it travels to top-ranked Adelphi University for a 4 p.m. tilt on Friday. The Panthers are ranked second by the USILA, and their only loss this season came to the Purple Knights, 11-9, on April 13.
