City Attorney Christopher Sullivan is scheduled to appear in court Thursday. He
will face numerous charges from a fatal hit-and-run.
Weeks have passed
since Mary Jane Outslay was killed in the pedestrian hit-and-run. The
71-year-old mother of five was well-known in the Rutland community. She was
crossing Strongs Avenue after having dinner at a restaurant when police say she
was run over and the driver took off.
Attorney Christopher Sullivan came forward a day after the crash, telling
police he owned the car involved. But the accident happened back on April 10, and

Andrew Charron of Rutland. "The kid that ran over the girl over on
Cleveland Ave., I went to
high school with him and he has been in jail since day one. I don't
really see the difference. He hit and killed a person. That is all that matters
In court Thursday, Sullivan will be
answering the charges of leaving the scene of an accident, and driving under
the influence, both with death resulting.
