Fire crews spent hours tackling a house fire in Lyndonville Wednesday.
Someone driving by spotted the fire at a home on Speedwell Drive around 3:30 p.m. Four departments responded. Crews say the fire started near the garage and spread quickly to the home. It jumped to the grass, but firefighters were able to stop the fire before it threatened other homes. Vermont State Police fire investigators will be on scene Thursday to figure out the cause. Firefighters say right now it does not seem suspicious. No one was hurt.
The Red Cross is helping the family of four that is now homeless.
