HARTLAND, Vt. -

Vermont State Police say they've found the driver who intentionally hit a person who had broken down, and then drove off.

Police say back in November, Dean Mason of Meredith, N.H., ran out of gas on Route 5 in Hartland. As he was putting gas in his truck, another car sped up and hit him, causing serious injuries.

Police say after months of investigation, they arrested David Hook, 25, of Hartland, who they say admitted to the crime. He's now facing charges.
