Remembering the life of 17-year old Brandon Gleason.
His funeral was held at Enosburgh Falls high school Saturday where family, friends, classmates and the community gathered. The teen died in a car accident last week after an alleged drunk driver struck the Jeep he and his friends were riding in -- including David Paron who is still recovering from injuries. Gleason was a star athlete. This past season he scored his thousandth point in basketball. Community members say they remember Gleason as someone who loved everyone and befriended anyone he met.
"How does a 17-year old impact so many people? Because that's Brandon. He loved people" says a basketball coach who knew Brandon.
"I ask myself why do wonderful people die young. And I know it's Gods purpose for Brandon. He lived a wonderful life and is in a better place with his mother," says David Paron, Brandon's best friend.
Brandon's Mom was also killed in a car crash. Friends of Gleason say he loved his family, animals, sports, and being social.
