The class of 2013 marched onto Edmund Elementary's field for the school's 135th commencement ceremony. Champlain President Dave Finney addressed the class with words of encouragement. Students say they are anxious for the future but say today is a major milestone in their lives.
"I feel like it's crazy, I've done internships every year but now it's real and it's applying for jobs. It's so much anxiety but it's a whole new chapter. It's really exciting," says Jordan Lemay, an early childhood education major.
"Put your head down and trek through and live it up while it lasts, absolutely. It goes by way too fast," says Nicholas Pugliese, a graphic design major.
"You know, I'm pretty excited. I'm pumped actually. Today we become awesome!" says Lauren Schoenthaler, a radiography major.
School president Dave Finney is also moving on. He recently announced he will retire next year.
