BURLINGTON, Vt. -

A Vermont woman accused of helping her boyfriend escape police in North Carolina is coming home to give birth.

Lyndsey Smith is originally from Vermont.  Police say her boyfriend, Mikel Brady of Randolph, shot an officer in the face in Durham, North Carolina back in February. Smith is charged with being an accessory after the fact.  She is at least 36 weeks pregnant with Brady's baby. Smith with be on house arrest while she is in Vermont.
