Vermont regulators have rejected a noise complaint aimed at a Vermont industrial wind farm.
First Wind operates the 16 turbine project in Sheffield. It came on line in the Fall of 2011 -- the first modern, large-scale wind farm in Vermont.
A Sutton resident complained of excessive noise from the turbines. But the Vermont Public Service Board said the project is meeting its noise standards and is in compliance with its Certificate of Public Good.
The anti-wind group Vermonters for a Clean Environment is criticizing the PSB, noting that First Wind chose the company that conducted the sound monitoring.
